Google “Redirect Error” on Blogspot: Why My Pages Aren’t Indexed After 1.5 Years

If you’ve been fighting Google Search Console for months (or years), you’re not alone. For 1.5 years, my Blogspot site – myworldgate2.blogspot.com – has had perfectly published posts that Google refuses to index. The reason given? “Redirect error.”

But here’s the catch: There is no redirect. No custom redirects, no broken .htaccess, no 301 loops. I’ve revalidated dozens of times, checked Blogger settings, and even removed custom redirects. Nothing works.

I’m tired. So before giving up, let me do one last thing: write openly about this problem.

What “Redirect Error” Actually Looks Like (for me)

In Google Search Console, under “Pages” > “Not indexed”, I see this:

When I inspect the live URL, Google says it’s a redirect. But when I visit the page, it loads fine. No redirect. No chain. Just a normal Blogspot post.

This seems to be a Google-Blogspot specific bug. Possibly related to how Blogspot handles canonical tags, or how Google crawler interprets blogspot.com vs. blogspot.com/?m=1 (mobile view).

Here are examples of my posts that are NOT indexed (all published in 2025):

(I will add more links here as updates)

Each of these is original, valuable content. And each one is invisible to search.

What I’ve tried (and failed)

· Removing all custom redirects in Blogger settings

· Switching to custom domain (still testing)

· Submitting each URL manually for indexing

· Revalidating fix in GSC – it always reverts to “Redirect error”

· Checking robots.txt – it’s fine

· No plugin or extra code – just plain Blogspot

Conclusion:

It’s not me. It’s Google’s crawler.

After 1.5 years of frustration, I believe Blogspot + Google indexing is broken for some accounts. The “redirect error” is a false signal. Until Google fixes how it crawls Blogspot’s dynamic URLs, many of us will stay invisible.

This post is my last test. If even this page doesn’t get indexed, I’ll know for sure.

What about you? Have you faced “Redirect error” on Blogspot?

Please leave your thoughts, experiences, or solutions in the comments. Let’s see if we can find a pattern – or at least make Google notice.
